Located in the Municipality of Cascais, Estoril is a beautiful town on the Portuguese Riviera. It is just 25 minutes away from the capital, Lisbon and a neighbour of another popular resort, Cascais. Since the Second World War, when the town was awash with spies (like Ian Fleming, Graham Greene, and Dusko Popov) and exiled royals, Estoril has developed into a lively cosmopolitan and sophisticated place attracting locals from Lisbon and visitors from all over Europe.

The most striking feature of Estoril is the casino, considered the biggest in Europe. It was here that Ian Fleming developed the idea for his first James Bond story, Casino Royale.
