What do guests think about this lodging establishment?
The accommodation received mixed reviews. Some guests found it exceptional and worth the price, appreciating the impressive building and friendly service. However, many mentioned that the rooms needed renovation, as they were outdated and had issues like doors not opening properly. Some guests also expected more amenities, such as bathrobes and a coffee maker. While the staff was praised for their attentiveness and the building's historical significance was acknowledged, the outdated decor and lack of comfort were mentioned as drawbacks. On the positive side, the breakfast was highlighted as impressive, with a good variety and quality. Despite some shortcomings, it was recommended as a treat, especially if obtained at a discounted price.

Doing research for a future road trip staying at different paradores. The quality of paradores is always superb, beautiful buildings, excellent food and wine and first class service. Will certainly book at Leon when the refurbishment is complete.

Rooms are old fashioned and decoration is out dated. Tiled floors make the rooms cheap and cold. The palace is amazing in terms of architecture but I don't recommend you stay here. Super expensive and overrated.

It was great. Most peaceful night in a week of travel from Barcelona, Alicante, Santiago. The best breakfast, too. And the tour of the facility was an unexpected perk. Perfectly located for easy walk into historic center of town.

Beautiful and refreshing stay here after walking on the Camino from St. Jean Pied de Port. It's about 1km away from most of the other sights in Leon, but is quiet and peaceful. My husband and I also loved the history of this hotel, which is honored throug

A wonderful old building with accommodation attached. Typical Parador - old fashioned bedrooms but good size and quiet. The whole experience felt too institutional for me, and the breakfast room was like a barn.
